Claude’s Story

Claude is a five-year-old Doberman with endless energy and a joyful spirit. He loves his walks, adores treats, and plays happily with dogs of all sizes. After a leg injury led to amputation, Claude adapted quickly — nothing slows him down. He’s also managing Leishmaniasis with daily medication and regular checkups, but his zest for life hasn’t faded one bit.

Like many Dobermans, Claude struggles with being left alone and can become vocal or restless when anxious. He’ll thrive in a home where someone is around often and understands how to offer structure and reassurance. With patience and consistency, Claude will continue to blossom into the loving, loyal companion he’s meant to be.

What Claude Needs

An Experienced, Active Home: Claude thrives with people who understand large, high-energy breeds and can keep up with his playful spirit.
Company and Structure: He does best when someone is home often and can help him work through his separation anxiety with support from Dog Tales trainers.
Ongoing Care: Claude will need continued vet care for his Leishmaniasis and should stay on his current medication plan.
